Familiar Traces

Familiar Traces is a short fashion film directed by Izzy Mana and Enrico Bellenghi. It is an exploration of the expectations of a young Black British man who’s struggling with his identity and the pressure of unseen responsibility. He reflects on a conversation he had with his father when he was younger, which helps him to navigate his adult life. He uses the baobab tree to symbolize his life, meaning, and culture.

Izzy Mana is a Black British aspiring fashion film director based in London, and currently a Masters student at UAL: London College Of Fashion. His main medium is fashion films which focus on Black excellence and uplifting Black British narratives. Follow him on IG and Twitter @izzymanafilms
