All of that Damned Alice Imagery

It won't follow logic and it won't listen
to reason, so let me fall down this rabbit
hole again, I will love you enough for the
both of us. I will love you so much that you

walk through the mirror and return to me.
I will cry myself out of this room. Make myself
bigger and smaller. Clouds with the caterpillar
never turning butterfly. Run, though neither of us

are rabbits, I will chase you, pocket watch and
waistcoat. Bless you, always, in all this Duchess
pepper spice, I know. I know, it’s too much, but
I’ll make you tea with milk and saffron, chai party

with our crazy friends. Paint the roses whatever
color you want. Take my head, the heart is still
yours, queen too. The smile still floats. Deck of
cards shuffled, by the river bank, meet me there.
